She’s the Lady from all those Shows and Ads!

Chances are, you already recognize the face or voice, because both have appeared in a variety of media venues for many years. Her multitude of talents and areas of expertise have proven of great value to many industries... from fashion to the culinary world.

This is Jan Ferington, of Lockport, NY, who can currently be seen as co-host of WKBW TV’S Come Dine With Me-WNY.” This cookbook aficionado is a big fan of the FOOD NETWORK and it’s clear she’s been paying attention.” As a food "personality" and Home Economist, Jan is comfortable with and skilled at bringing kids into the kitchen.. something she has done on a daily basis as a teacher in the Starpoint School System.

When it comes to the world of fashion, as well as “Lifestyles”, the credentials of this professional model and former Mrs. New York State are equally impressive. From industrial and training videos for companies like Kodak and IBM to print work for such prominent businesses as Bon-Ton, TurboTax, and Bausch+Lomb, her poise and appearance have benefited countless companies across Western New York and beyond.

Jan has also been a national makeup artist and training associate for Estee Lauder, Inc. and fashion show coordinator and emcee for major department stores and malls. She also had the opportunity to showcase those skills in the media as a “Lifestyles” contributor to the Kahle & Company Radio Show.

Of course, it’s one thing to have the knowledge and experience and quite another to communicate that knowledge on television, and it’s here where Jan Ferington really “shines”. Recently, she was the popular spokesperson for Premier Wine & Liquors. Viewers also recognize her from television ads for Valu Home Centers, Paddock Chevrolet, Autoplace Nissan, Southgate Plaza, and Mercedes-Benz of Buffalo.

In addition, Jan is the former marketing show host for Connections, where her television talents introduced viewers in Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse to everything from health stories to holiday gifts and travel destinations. There have also been numerous cable TV hosting assignments, as well as her regular substitute hosting duties on WKBW TV’S iconic AM Buffalo.

This is a lady that viewers clearly like, as do the folks who have worked with her. Just ask Bob Stachura, President, Buffalo Advertising: “Your friendly and sparkling personality has always put you on the list of my favorite people to work with and it really shines through in our television spots.”.
